Consultant, Information Technology

Responsibilities:
Schema Network Consultants are hands-on technical experts who move businesses to new technologies that impact, improve, remove risk, lower downtime, enhance security and grow the business. Consultants develop and maintain a professional relationship with their customer base in a multi-vendor environment. Consultants are recognized for their ability to quickly assess, identify and recommend improvements and/or opportunities that are consistent with customer needs including projects and extended services. Maintaining accurate and thorough customer site documentation and submitting detailed records is of utmost importance to the position. Schema Network Consultants provide optimal technical solutions in a timely manner and ensure business critical systems are up and running continuously.

Requirements:
Schema Network Consultants have a minimum of 5 years of demonstrated, reliable knowledge and experience in network engineering or IT technology including 3 years of consulting experience in a technology environment.

Technical skills:
• Microsoft Network Technologies and Operating Systems
• Microsoft Exchange & IIS
• Networking Fundamentals
• Network Security Principals
• Citrix Metaframe / Terminal Services

Strong working knowledge of LAN/WAN technology including:
• Security (Firewalls – Cisco, 3Com, Sonic Wall, etc)
• Virus Protection Software (E-mail, Server and Client)
• TCP/IP (Subnetting, VLANS, Routing Protocols)
• Network management (Switches, Packet Sniffing)

Education & Experience:
• BS/BE or equivalent experience and training required
